In the Summer of 2024, London-based photographer and environmentalist Lena C. Emery traveled to Svalbard, Norway to document the archipelago's dramatic landscape and wildlife. Svalbard faces severe environmental threats from rapidly melting glaciers, rising temperatures, and increased human activity, all of which endanger its unique Arctic biodiversity and delicate ecosystems. Emery, through her photography, reimagines the symbiotic connection between humanity and nature in an effort to inspire support for environmental protection.
